Rigorous Testing & Validation

Ensuring every Venn wheel meets stringent international safety standards and exceeds our demanding performance criteria through comprehensive testing.

01

Engineered for Confidence

Performance means nothing without reliability. Our exhaustive testing program validates the engineering behind every wheel, simulating years of use and extreme conditions to guarantee safety, durability, and consistent performance mile after mile. We don't just meet standards; we aim to exceed them.

02

Comprehensive Lab Testing

Specialized test equipment pushes our wheels to the limit, verifying design integrity and material performance.

01

Impact Testing: 100 to 150 J

Every rim model must pass an impact of 100 J for road, gravel and XC, 130 J for all-mountain and 150 J for downhill. The UCI requires 40 J (ISO 4210-7). These are pass marks, not breaking points.

02

Fatigue Testing

Subjects wheels to hundreds of thousands of load cycles to verify long-term reliability and resistance to material failure.

03

Aerodynamic Validation

Wind tunnel testing measures drag and crosswind stability across various yaw angles to confirm CFD analysis.

04

Spoke Analysis

Precision measurement of spoke tension and pull-through strength to ensure wheel stability and build quality.

05

Rim Deformation Testing

Measures rim stiffness and deflection under load with tires inflated to operating pressures.

06

Heat Resistance (Rim Brake)

Validates the performance of our high-Tg resin under prolonged, high-temperature braking scenarios.

03

Exceeding Global Standards

Our testing protocols are designed to meet or surpass the requirements of major international safety and performance standards.

Testing By The Numbers

Quantifiable data drives our validation process, ensuring objective performance assessment.

100–150 J Impact Pass Mark ((By discipline; the UCI requires 40 J))
100,000+ Fatigue Cycles ((Simulates years of riding load))
< 5% Variance Spoke Tension Uniformity ((Ensures stable & true wheels))
~240°C Avg. High-Tg Resin Temp. ((Resists rim brake heat damage))
±0.1° Yaw Wind Tunnel Precision ((Accurate aerodynamic data))
< 0.2 mm Wheel Trueness ((Radial & Lateral))

Final Inspection: The Venn Seal of Quality

Before any wheel ships, it goes through a meticulous final quality check against Venn's specification.

  1. Step 01 Dimensional & Geometric Verification
  2. Step 02 Precise Spoke Tension Measurement & Uniformity Check
  3. Step 03 Trueness (Lateral & Radial) and Roundness Verification
  4. Step 04 Surface Finish & Cosmetic Inspection
  5. Step 05 Dynamic Balance Testing (Where Applicable)
