The 500 C UL carries no clear coat, whichever surface you choose: gloss, matte, or the 25k filament-wound pattern. Leaving the coating off shaves rotational weight at the rim perimeter and keeps the quality of the underlying carbon structure on open display. Gloss and matte weigh the same; the 25k filament-wound surface adds 25 g per rim. All three cost the same.

The 50mm depth is meticulously sculpted to maintain sail-effect propulsion in crosswinds while minimising steering torque. The ultra-wide 29.5mm–32mm external and 25mm internal dimensions perfectly support 28mm to 35mm tyres, dramatically reducing rolling resistance and significantly improving comfort and grip on rougher tarmac.

Achieving a 998g wheelset weight required optimising every single component. We utilised advanced carbon layup techniques, left off the traditional clear coat, and integrated ultra-light carbon aero blade spokes with a state-of-the-art ratchet hubs.

The wide 25mm internal width is perfectly optimised for modern, high-volume road tyres. We highly recommend tyres between 28mm and 35mm. This setup maximises aerodynamic airflow over the 29.5mm–32mm external rim, lowers rolling resistance, and allows for lower tyre pressures to enhance comfort and grip.
